WHAT IS A
A 3D product image is a contemporary way to visually present products, utilizing computer-generated modeling. This process begins with a detailed 3D modeling of the actual product, where every feature – from texture to colors – is recorded and converted into a three-dimensional replica. Thanks to technology, we can create completely realistic images that look exactly like the product itself, but without the limitations of a physical product. In marketing, 3D product images offer many advantages. They allow for the presentation of the product on a completely new level, where every detail is precisely designed and controlled.
3D product images offer businesses the opportunity to enhance their marketing, bringing with them many significant advantages. First and foremost, they ensure the global consistency of your product images across different market areas, regardless of linguistic differences. Moreover, with 3D modeling, creating different variations of products is considerably more cost-effective than taking traditional photographs for each product version. This process saves time and money while maintaining high image quality.
One of the greatest advantages of 3D product images is their flexibility in marketing material production. Once a product is modeled in 3D, it can be used diversely across various marketing channels, such as point-of-sale displays, without the need for a physical product.
A 3D model of a product can be created using photographs and dimensions provided by the client. While this method does not offer the most accurate possible outcome, it enables the creation of a reasonably good model in situations where the physical product is not available for comparison or cannot be sent to me for examination. This method is particularly useful when a general overview of the product in 3D form is needed quickly and without the need for a physical sample.
A precise 3D model of the product can be created using the physical sample of the product you provide to me. I will thoroughly examine the product you send, analyzing its material's sheen, colors, and other significant details. This ensures that the finished 3D model matches your original product as closely as possible. The colors present in the product are accurately reproduced by measuring them with a color sensor.
In the modeling process, it is not necessary to use the product's original packaging; any packaging that visually and dimensionally matches your future product packaging can be applied. If the product sent has incorrect colors or materials, it is important to provide precise references for the desired colors and materials. This ensures that the final 3D product image matches your expectations as closely as possible. Regarding branding, label files and other relevant information are needed to finalize the product image according to the brand.
Product images can be created using an existing 3D model, such as a CAD model, that was made for the product's manufacture. This eliminates the need to model the product from scratch, allowing focus on optimizing materials and lighting. This method saves time and costs. To verify materials and colors, we need models, such as photographs or physical samples.
