Quickloader - Santas Sleigh
3D illustration for Quickloader’s Christmas campaign. I was tasked with ideating, 3D modeling, and visualizing a modernized version of Santa’s legendary ride—tuned with attitude. I was given fairly free rein on the design; the only requirement was that it should have plenty of attitude and, of course… a gift sack secured with Quickloader tie-down straps. The concept I ultimately visualized was a blend of snowmobile and pickup truck.
Goal
- Create a striking 3D illustration that can be used in Quickloader’s Christmas-season advertising campaigns across multiple media. The overall vibe should match the energy of Quickloader’s other mood images. Ideate and define what kinds of details and elements the sleigh should include.
Process
- Ideation and sketching
- 3D modeling and concept testing
- Material and texture design
- Lighting design
- Rendering at a sufficiently large size so smaller versions can be created as needed
- Post-processing images to different sizes according to use-case requirements
Result
- A bold 3D image of Santa’s sleigh
- Plenty of content for social media
- The image also made for a striking Christmas card
- Quickloader got marketing materials that stood out and felt true to their brand
